Hey, I found one working online proxy that will be useful for everyone those internet settings are limited, like the ones who are at school, university or some more educational places.

Go to: www.canhide.info. I checked it today, it works perfect. Some people assert that it can be used to download files from rapidshare server, I mean you do not need to wait for a long time, to download the file itself.

Download from rapidshare? I tried a download from rapidshare on canhide.com but it wrote

URL Error (1): An error has occured while trying to browse through the proxy.
The URL you're attempting to access is blacklisted by this server. Please select another URL.

So rapidshare is blacklisted. By the way there are lots of proxy servers. I am using the program Proxy Switcher Standard, and this program is finding lots of proxy servers, and you can integrate your browsers with Proxy Switcher (Internet Explorer is automatically integrated, Firefox and Opera should be integrated manually). And you can go all sites with changed IP address. Even you can download your file from rapidshare.

Does it really work? Can i use it to overcome my University's Internet settings or not?

Yes, of course. For example here Turkey we cannot connect to Youtube because Youtube is banned by our internet providers for a few months. But we can connect everywhere with changing proxy. And Proxy Switcher is making this very easy. I am using Proxy Switcher Standard version if I need to enter a banned site.

//Edit: While using this program there are lots of alternative proxies. A few proxies do not allow you to enter some sites and download file from rapidshare. But the other proxies allow lots of things.

Where I may obtain the list of many proxies?

Proxy Switcher Standard is finding automatically. I don't know a direct address sorry. You should download and setup Proxy Switcher program.

The speed depends on the nearest to your home or how fast is the proxy. For example here Turkey, the German proxies are faster than the others in Proxy Switcher. And sometimes Chinese or USA proxies are faster. You can sort the proxy list by response time in Proxy Switcher.

Anyone know if any of these proxies will work with websense? We have websense blocking EVERYTHING at work. From forums to youtube. I mean I can go to MAYBE 10% of sites on the internet. It would be nice if I could post on trap17 from work .

Also, are these things detectable. Like, would websense report to my work saying that they found someone using a proxy? Lemme know, 'cause if I can get away with this, I will definitely do it. But its not worth my job.
