I just found this great website called Limewire my brother told me about. If you are not aware of this site, check it out. It is a free download site for any kind of download you can think of, and you don't even have to log in or register like you have to with Kazaa or Napster. The website is for totally free sharing. It is a great alternative if you are using a site like Kazaa if you are worried about your personal info. being given out. I highly recommend Limewire!

Another great file-sharing service is Bearshare...you can snag a copy off of download.com. For those of you that are used to using Kazaa, the layout is very similar, and there is loads of content. There is a variety of media (it isn't just limited to MP3 files) and as far as I know, your personal information will be safe and secure. I highly recommend it for anyone, no matter what your downloading interests are.

lol, this thread is funny for some reason. >_> I use Limewire myself, mainly because it doesn't have ads or anything, and it's just a much cleaner look, whereas kazaa has all these flashy graphics and stupid ads that take forever to load on my computer. >.> Plus, you have to download all these other programs along with it in order for it to work properly. I also like limewire because..the icon is pretty...>.> But I hate how you always have to "wait in line" sleep.gif Then again, I don't use it unless I really can't find something on the normal web. But it's still a good program. I've also heard shareaza works quite well. Plus, it looks like a great program and many people have recommended it to me..but I'm too lazy to go and download it. >_> If you want, the website is http://www.shareaza.com

I use mIRC. You search for stuff on IRCspy, PacketNews, or ISOHunt. I usually get around 25KB/s download.

Hm.. forgot about Limewire.

Anyway, I can't remember which client it was, but it's either Limewire or something that sounds similar to it (I'd have to hear the name) is either full of spyware, or it is a very slow download, if you have any downloads for types of 'rarer' media, such as various (free) mp3s from games compared to other file sharing applications.

I don't like these kind of p2p programs... I used to have bittorrent but now that suprnova is gone I don't use it anymore... Kazaa SuX... MirC is a nice one but I don't use it... I'm tired of it... I had it when I used to play Ultima Online but now that I don't play it anymore, I don't have any interest on it.
I've heard a lot of Limewire but I've never tried to use it... maybe it's a nice one... I'll try it later! Thanks anyway!
