A picture is worth a thousand words, it has been said since time immemorial. and for those people who are rushing to know and learn varied information, how much easier would it be to understand and follow tutorials via pictures instead of reading a bunch of long and convoluted texts? some of you are the "more visual" kind of learners who would understand computer-related and web-related topics better with pictures, here is a treat for you all. biggrin.gif

ALL ebooks below released by INPICS can be freely downloaded in screen-quality PDF files under a Creative Commons license. there are also print-quality files (also in PDF, in case you want high-quality printouts) and your regular spiral-bound paperbook (if you want to lug your ready-made reading materials around) -- albeit, these last two are available if you purchase them. smile.gif in any case, the FREE screen-quality files will suit everybody who can read picture-tutorials on their screens. biggrin.gif

LEARN COMPUTER BASICS

LEARN MICROSOFT OFFICE APPLICATIONS

LEARN OPENOFFICE.ORG APPLICATIONS

LEARN WEB LAYOUT

LEARN WEB GRAPHICS

LEARN WEB PROGRAMMING

i would sure hope the good members of trap17 can enjoy from learning with these resources. smile.gif the last three sets of downloads would prove very useful for the HOSTED members here. biggrin.gif

Wow, that is awesome!! Im going to try those books. I hope they make more of them, as I have a difficult time reading because I always get distracted and a couple of pages later I am like... What was I reading... Lol.

I would definitely pay for a pdf like that, I would like them to make more books maybe in actionscript, java, c, etc.

Thanks for those books man! Great post.

I have just read part of the php book, so far it is great. I really think that I will be able to finish it.

Yes this is a pretty neat idea. I think it is the same as video tutorials but everything is labeled with text instead of words. I guess it's easier for people without high video quality. I like using pictures because it helps me see exactly what I'm trying to do instead of locating something by description. That's why I like screenshots in Photoshop tutorials.

yeh, in thinking skills when i was younger, the brain can process pictures faster than text, possibly because text is skinny etc, and pictures are nice and straight foward, and explain alot and uses less memory

wonderful find... you learn faster using more than one sense at a time - e.g. reading you learn at a speed of about 20%, but reading and seeing brings it up to something like 80%, and then you can use hearing, too.. Nice collection, will definately have to check more of these out.

Looks like I can introduce them to my classmate which will help them to understand more of web designing and programming... Too bad my test for Microsoft Office is over or I sure will be able to score in that test with these!! smile.gif
