Hello,
I would not consider myself healthy. I don't eat alot of fruits or vegetables; drink soda, not water; and never get any excersize. But here is where my problem is. I eat and eat and eat but I don't gain any weight. My friend says I have an athletes motabalism, which is strange as I don't have an athletic bone in my body. I personally think it may be my eating habit. I don't eat all day, then I gorge myself at dinner. Anyone have a second opinion on this, as I am kind of worried. The reason for this is that I don't want to keep these habits into adult hood and get obese.

I think it is fine. I do feel as if I have the same problem, unlike it is opposite from yours. I eat almost everything that I can tongue.gif and even when I eat like I have never seen food before. I keep on the same weight, I never decrease nor increase, but I'm fine with myself but considering I am like the lightest person in my class. It does kinda get to me but I really am least bothered and am happy with the way things are cool.gif

Hello Skyman,

I don't see any reason that you should get worried by this. This is a common problem, particularly in teens. Just because you aren't athletic, doesn't mean you can't have an athletes metabolism. Your metabolism is controlled by your metabolic glands, these release enzymes which break down food really well, and consequently, you don't keep fat content in your body for long, so you don't get obese.

I also eat a lot, I'm always hungry. I also have a fast metabolism, and therefor don't put on any weight- its been the same for years. (I'm the skinniest guy I've ever seen lol) But really, its nothing to worry about. You might want to try substituting some of the fatty foods for fruit or vegetables, in later life. As you get older, your metabolism will slow down, and your weight can easily catch up with you. If you alter your diet as this heppens then there shouldn't be a problem.

I would also consider taking up a sport. There are many different sports out there, there's gotta be one that you like playing? Even if you only play for 1 hour a week.

Hope I've helped,

Thanks.
