Hi,
Perhaps I can answer few of your questions until OpaQue can officially make your WAP site approval. Although ComputingHost allows diverse website themes, as long as within Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP), your index page must be HTML and browser friendly. This means it cannot be established just for Opera (which reads WAP without a problem). Instead, if you have your own domain elect to create a subdomain, i.e. wap.your-site.ext, and create a full WAP page--leaving your public_html with a normal HTML page. A demo to ComputingHost cPanel is very similar to Trap17's demo, with ComputingHost providing SSH Telnet connection. Please view Trap17 cPanel demo at Trap17 cPanel Demo. I have not had the chance to update but the current version of cPanel for both are 11. ComputingHost plans provide different script supports. Plan 3S is a Unix based hosting and therefore support PHP and CGI. ASP is Windows based hosting and you must choose different plan to have ASP access. Windows based hosting supports CGI, unless OpaQue corrects me on this one. I hope this helps you a bit until OpaQue has the chance to reply |

Hi GeneralX, Welcome to Trap17 Forums :-) I m glad that you are interested in ComputingHost services.
The reason, I asked to mention in notes section was because we have optimized one of our servers for Wap sites to deliver the tiny wap pages as fast as possible with persistent Apache connections. As for CPanel, Do not worry about it. We offer the latest versions with all features in your hands to explore. However, We do not offer any demo accounts as of now. You can opt for any plan possible, Just remember that you always have the option to request a full refund incase you are not satisfied :-) Scripting Languages supported on Linux Server : PHP, Perl / Cgi. Asp is not supported (its supported on windows hosting). |
