Google has released a Linux version of its Desktop search client.
Now the Tux users too harness the power of Google Desktop to find their documents and files just as the Windows users. Download the Google Desktop for Linux |

I never really liked the google desktop concept... why would you want to have yet another search function for files and some addon applications bundles in a cpu demanding toolpack such as this one? I don't get it... |

I downloaded it a while ago and still can't find a good use for it.
So, I agree with Unstoppable. Plus there is no sidebar for Linux as in Windows. |
