Actually, that is my first choice or option when i want to see if my computer is really without virus and stuff like it, and to test if my antivirus is really protecting me as it should be.
TrendMicro is a very good antivirus too, and their free online antivirus scanner is a free service which everyone should use once and a while. |

You can also try out the Live Safety Scanner by Microsoft and Live Beta programs are all good and trustworthy, and now used by many... I personally trusted it and usually I'll go to the Live Scanner whenever I want to scan my computer online... It too has to down the scanner when you does it but its quite user friendly as it does everything for you, except a few options they ask from you...
Try it: http://safety.live.com/site/en-sg/default.htm?mkt=en-sg |

Well, I have never heard of trendmicro before and new users to it will definitely not trust it... But if they found out about Live Safety Scanner and its by Microsoft people will definitely go for Live Safety Scanner, simply because its created by a reputable and trustable company...
I'll try out trendmicro too, since you like it and make it your first choice I think its worth the try(I always like the stuff you recommend!) and maybe secure myself with two different online virus scanner machine... It'll be safer and more secure! |

They have the TrendMicro Security Suite, i tryed it already, it is very good, the anitivurs too, is very quick scanning all files from all hard drives, but now i use AVG Pro 7, it is the most quick and secure antivirus for home users and especially for companies, it has protection to everything, yet, still you must use ad-aware and a instant message protection program like zonealarm instant message protector.
Besides the fact we must all use antivirus, antispam, antispyware, antiadware and a firewall, if you can have it all in one program, like avg pro or zonealarm security suite or even mcafee security suite, it is better because too many programs from many companies create the security issues windows operative system is "proud"! The best choice, in my opinion, is to use a security suite, just choose one which will be flexible, quick, with average updates (at least once a day, avg pro sometimes has 2 updates or more), intelligent, with heuristic analyses, and with tools to protet you from spyware, adware, spam, trojans, worms, and our "biggest friends", the virus! |

If the trendmicro free online antivirus scan link does not work, use this link instead:

There's a news by Live Messenger that the conflicts of the signing in problems usually is cause by the ZoneAlarm so I'm not sure but programs do not work 100% with ANY security suite... QUOTE For the people who are having trouble signing in, you might be saying to yourself “hey - everything was working just fine till a couple of days back and then all of a sudden Windows Live Messenger stopped signing me in! Ack! Now I’m getting this error – all I wanted to do was send a quick Instant Message, darn it!” If this is happening, we expect you are using ZoneAlarm® from Zone Labs®. We are aware of the issue and are actively working with Zone Labs® to fix it! http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/Blog/...#33;22246.entry However, before I was using ZoneAlarm as my firewall I have a hard time signing in too, and I did not have much of a problem after using ZoneAlarm, so I guess its just a random factor regards to the programs installed.. So I guess its more secure to get different types of company of anti virus and adware, thus online scan too can have many... |
