I would ask, "Why?" but I don't want to be invasive. There's an easy way to do this. Go to this link and say "terminate my hosting". You should get some sort of confirmation from an admin or whatever upon the deletion of your account.

Biscuit mentioned it, but I almost missed the link. To go your account, go to http://trap17.com/process and find a Terminate Your Account (or something with the same effect) option. Click on it, and you should be set.

In case you can't close your account in Process, an admin will do it which is why I'm moving this thread.

There was a link in the forum description. Anyways, I'll leave this topic open until somebody other than me closes it.

I cannot understand why one will go from a forum. Doesn't just stay away from this place means he/she has gone?

If he closes his hosting account now rather than waiting for it to terminate itself automatically, it frees up server resources and a subdomain name.

He's out of the [HOSTED] group therefore account termination was successful.

I was member of a forum for two years in good standing, in fact I donated full year ISP subscription for the forum. I am banned from for x number of month for fault in behavior. Because by now all members know the fault in my behavior, I will not be comfortable going back and relation will be strained now. They have put a sign "Banned" on my 3000 postings and 100 technical articles. I am not arguing their decision, but banned will stay their till they decide to remove it.

This should be a good reason to ask to close my account, their purpose achieved that I am not longer in the forum. Why not remove my account on my request. Why give me bad publicity, Object should not be to defame me for long period of time. Just get rid me from forum ?

The reason I have not asked yet, because another person was turned down a while back. I want to understand the situation before I ask.

I am only interested in best for the forum as I was one of the first few who help forum to be what it is today. But with this incident I cannot go back in a envoirnment which will be unhappy for me and for them.

Yes, The user does have all the rights but when it comes to forum. The rights are divided.

Half of the rights are with you while the other half goes to the forum owners for managing, giving you publicity and attracting other members to read your articles.

As much as you help a forum, the forum also helps you :-)

You must closely descriminate your actions on what you did which caused the forum admins to do such a thing.

Managing a big forum especially requires some strict moderation because its the overall reputation of the forum and its purpose that needs to be kept in mind all the time.

I would recommend cooling down and taking every bit of what life taught you as a lesson.

It is very easy in Todays Date for anyone to make a blog.

A person who likes to write out ideas and stories can either choose a good forum run by decent people who respect each other. Be a part of it for knowledge.

Write your detailed articles in your blog.

And definately give the introduction and idea of your material on the forum and ask people to check out the entire article in detail in your blog.
