The Knicks are looking to make a trade that would send David Lee and Maleke Rose to Memphis for the number 5 pick and Brian Cardinal. the Grizzlies want to get rid of cardinal's 2 year 13 million dollar contract to get Maleke Rose's expiring contract. although the Knicks would loose an expiring contract and gain a big one, the trade would not hurt their chances of getting Lebron James because Cardinal's contract would expire by then. This gives the Knicks a chance to land two of OJ Mayo, Eric Gordon, Russel Westbrook, or Jerrod Bayless.
