how dumb can law enforcers be and issue a ticket for a chicken that crossed the road? or is it just some outdated state law which should nevertheless be enforced (even to a chicken!)?

It just amazes me how in the world a cop could ticket a chicken. I guess it must be something they do down in Ridgecrest. I would imagine the cop walking proud and telling everybody in the precint that he gave a ticket to a chicken.

I would also imagine that the DA might have been a little disappointed to lose the battle of the chicken ticket in court.
