I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!!!

I HAVE VALIDATED MY WEBSITES WITH THE W3C VALIDATOR AND THEY DON'T WORK IN IE/AVANT!

They work fine in Firefox and other netscape-browsers including opera. But not IE and Maxthon!!!!!!!!

I am going completely crazy with making 85% of the web view my pages properly.

Valid CSS/XHTML/HTML/JavaScript with optimized connections and IE cannot display the webpage. Gosh!

Yup. Internet Explorer (for windows) never has and probably never will fully comply with the W3 standard. Use conditional comments, and your life will be much happier -- trust me.

yeah it does suck the way microsoft doesn't need to follow the standards because they have such a market share that everyone codes their sites to work on IE rather than the standards. Only when IE loses the majority of its share will anything change, and even then it is that not likely to happen. lets all just thank microsoft for being so evil

I know how you feel. Except my problem is where everything works on IE and nowhere else because I coded it for IE and the other stuff messes with it. It sucks with a passion... Try using Frontpage for a little bit to fix functionality how only Frontpage (or so I've found) can do. Have fun!

Or not. If you're aware of Frontpage's limitations, why continue to use it?

I used to get really mad about this but now I do not. I simply do not make my webpages work in Internet Explorer. If they work so be it. If they don't work so be it. If they do not care enough to render a webpage the way they are supposed to I do not care about supporting their web standards. If they made an honest attempt at it I would code my webpages to work with Internet Explorer. What I do to counter the problem of web pages not showing up right in IE is place a link to Firefox and a little text blab about how it makes the webpages work, its more secure, and all that junk. We shouldn't have to take this from Microsoft lets show them we deserver respect and do not code your webpages to meet their specifications.

It really fustrates me when my webpages don't work in both firefox and internet explorer. If internet explorer would just follow standards then I would have saved a lot of time. There has always been a work-around of all the problems I have encountered but they can take a long time to find. I would just stop supporting internet explorer but the majority of internet users use it.
