Hi, i found a website that offers the most know programs available for download... for FREE!
yeah, i found Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, CuteFTP, Limewire PRO.. well, there are lots and they are constantly adding more... and those are not trials or demos cause ive already tryed downloading a program and it works. Also i downloaded Flash (i already have it but i wanted to see if it was the complete version) and the download came with a keygen that would make the program work. (i know that is illegal according to the product licence but i want to know how can that site offer those without getting warned or something)

Honestly im not sure. I know the site is braking the law for redistributing software but im not sure about your part. Well as for the warnings and such, Everybody like that only gets away with illegal acts for so long then it all comes to an end.

People download unlicensed copies of software every minute of everyday. Some companies come down hard on it, others dont seem to be as bothered.

Adobe for instance have stated they dont overly object to students using unlicensed copies of their software as when they graduate & enter the commercial world the chances are they will then use Adobe software.

PM me the link of the site, i'll check it out (for purely educational purposes obviously wink.gif )

1. YES THIS IS ILLEGAL!
2. DO NOT GIVE MEMBERS THE LINKS.

First let me say that there is a big difference between TRIAL software and LISENCED software.

Normally lisenced software is software that a person or company has purchased for use, trial software is something that the maker lets ANYONE download the software FREE but with limited capabilities, and most times they're on a 30 day trial period in which afterwards it's unusable.

If this website offers TRIAL software, it's not illegal, though they shouldn't be doing it anyways without the consent of the maker. If they're hosting trial software on there own site, and not leeching off the creator it's ok, but if they're taking links from the creators website that's stealing bandwith, which can be bad.

If it's not trial software on the other hand, and it's "cracked" software it's completely illegal, don't download it and don't redistribute.

Hope this cleared up some issues.

Why should there be a question on whether it is illegal ?
If the applications/software costs money to buy, and if they are being given free by somebody other than the company that makes it, obviously there is something illegal.
