If you haven't visited http://hulu.com you are missing out on a great site. Hulu is a youtube like website that shares tv shows and movies. It is a free website and it is not illegal. Hulu has advertisements in the videos from the networks (like bravo, comedy central). Dont go and watch videos online that is a illegal website but use hulu instead. They are getting more stations and or networks (like bravo) so they will have more tv shows and or movies for free. Go and check it out great service

I've watched a few movies on there already, it's pretty neat. The advertisements aren't that bad at all. There's about as many ad blocks during the movies on hulu as there are in the movies on cable or satellite except these ad blocks are only 15-30 seconds long. There is also a small little ad every now and then that'll popup after an ad block. The site is also built very well so the ads on there don't interfere with navigation. I plan on using hulu now, I do like it very much.

how it is purported to be a "youtube-killer" is beyond me. tongue.gif really now? youtube's thrust is user-uploaded content but i do have to agree that there are some questionable uploads there which cannot pass the muster of copyright rules... yet still, user-created content is strong in youtube, notwithstanding the various copyrighted clips extant in the network. that is something hulu (and some hulu pundits) seem to forget. is hulu now accepting user-created content to match that of youtube? wink.gif

another thing is the universality of the service. youtube's appeal and accessibility is global, and hulu at the moment is sadly mainly for the USA users only. if hulu is meant to topple youtube off it's throne, then it better give access to a wider audience. as i heard from other people (not from trap17), even canada is not able to access hulu and view their stuff, considering their proximity to the US of A, and the similarity in market for which their ads are targeted.

okay, they have good content (some in full, some in clips), but it begs the question, for whom and from where? it is content delivered via the web, which crosses and erases international borders, so why not make it available for everyone, everywhere instead and not make restrictions? tongue.gif yeah, targeted ads. but still, ads are ads, unless of course their ads are just for local consumption only (like JOE's corner barbershop or diner, or something), which reflects poorly for the site. heheheü but if they have advertisers with products of international appeal, then more so should they lift their restriction of access outside the USA! biggrin.gif

so will it likely ring the toll for youtube's end? i don't think so. biggrin.gif not yet, anyway. wink.gif

i've been waitimg for this website since i heard about it a while ago and i did not have a chance to realy view what it can do. from the little bit of time i've spent there i've found that it's realy good and many of the shows that's there are the ones i like but dont always get a chance to see, so now i can see them. the movies are realy old and i've only heard of so many of them (like 10). i hope it gets more shows and maybe it could be available in other countries and have shows from those other countries too.
