Well, first of all, I see that you found trap17.net. That is a good start. Now we need to know what the template is. Is it an html template or flash or a forum template? Lots of possibilities for how to install different templates. Do you need to change anything on it?
Maybe the best thing to do is tell us where to go look at the template. Then we could suggest what needs to be done. Thanks. |

Plus...
After creating your webpages or modifying your pages to work right (that is, check your links to pages and images) use any FTP software to upload it to your directory. The instructions were given when you signed up (though confirmation email) and just follow the direction. In our Trap17 Readme section you'll find different FTP software tutorials that might be useful to you. Upload your files and you are all set. If your site is not showing as in your hard drive, first always check the URL, that is IMG SRC= and A HREF= etc. |

Biscuitrat's redonkulous guide for cPanel success!
To begin, type in your username.trap17.net and you should see some sort of "This site is not yet online" page. If you see that, you know your site is active and ready for you to put things on. Now type in yourusername(replace it with yours).trap17.net:2082 - if that doesn't work, type yourusername.trap17.net/cpanel. When the login popup pops up, type in your username and password and you should get a screen similar to this: ![]() This is your main control panel. From here, you can see everything you can do with your site. I blacked out my server stats, but yours should show that you haven't used any of your space yet. Look for the 4th button in the second box - it says File Manager. Click on it and you should see something like this: ![]() This is your file manager. You can upload things from this window. However, you have to put it in the right folder for it to show up. Click on public_html OR www and begin to upload your files from there! You should already see an index.html file. You can either edit that, or upload your own. To upload, click the "Upload File" link (it should have an arrow button beside it) and you'll get a screen like this: ![]() Make sure you have a file named index.html in your template package. Upload that first and say "Overwrite" on the upload screen. You can also click on the name of your current index.html file and look at the frame on your right hand side - select Delete File when the link appears and it will go to the bottom frame - the Trash Can. After that, it's just a matter of linking to the correct files! Hope this helps |

Pewpewpoo. Funny thing was, I had originally typed in .com for everything until I checked it agian. I've been away from this site too long! Everything's so confusing now. One, we can edit. Two, all these new hosting thingamabobbers have come up, and three, I don't even know what I'm doing anymore. At least I tried
