How to monitor your connection speed
To open Sysmon, click on start->run and type Sysmon. Please note that not many have Sysmon because when installing, normally you or someone have choose to "Install the most common components(Recommended)" or whatever that sysmon not included. If you have the Windows CD setup, then you can add it by going to Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and choose Windows Setup tab, scroll down, click System Tools, click Details and check box on System Monitor then click ok. There is so many things you can do with Sysmon not only monitor your internet connection. Play around with the settings, adding/removing different items from the list, resize Sysmon's window, modify the "looks" and refresh rates, view your selections as bars, numbers, lines etc. There are numerous categories of your Windows machine's "innards" that can be "watched" on Sysmon's display (the list below refers to my system): -Dial-Up Adapter -Disk Cache -File System -Kernel -Memory Manager -Microsoft Network Client |
