Here is everything you must know:
Htaccess http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Htaccess There you can see how to protect with password and a lot more, at least what it really matters. --------- Here is a very complete tutorial, with 3 parts, of htaccess http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/htaccess/1 This post has been edited by Lyon2: Aug 14 2006, 03:31 PM |

Try this htaccess file generator and htaccess password generator:
http://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/htacce...rator/index.php or this simple yet good: http://shop.alterlinks.com/htpasswd/htpasswd.php or this one (very good): http://cooletips.de/htaccess/ or Open notepad, insert the code you want, after reading those tutorials, then save it has htaccess.txt . Then go to the folder where you saved the htaccess.txt file and rename it to .htaccess That is it, exactly like that: .htaccess (with the point behind, and no extension.) Then upload it to the directory you want to protect with password or whatever you want to do. You must read that complete tutorial, or the first link.
