i donr the pages for my site but ow it it time to link them properly
how to do it i m doing like this is that right? http://mysite.trap17.com/index.htm it is ok or wrong? help on this...

CODE <a href="http://mysite.trap17.com/index.htm">Home</a> That will work but the propper way to it is: CODE <a href="index.htm">Home</a> If the file or page is in another folder, it would be: CODE <a href="downloads/file.zip">Home</a> i hope that answers your question

well can anybody tell me how to link your website and where to upload in trap17 file manager pls.step by step instructions will do the job.
anyway i damn frustrrted with file manager and welcome page is still therre how can i get rid of it. man pls tell me how to link and upload site in trap17. pls help.. |

The question you've put forward is not very clear. http://mysite.trap17.com/index.htm is a correct link provided mysite = the active freehosting account with trap17.com. For linking the site, if you can tell us what kind of programme you are using for building your site. WHichever it is we need to know 1). which files you need to link. if it is in the same folder <a href="filename.htm>File Name </a> will link it. If they are inside follow the next explanation. 2). the files you are trying to link where are they? Are they inside the same folder as index or they are within another folder. If they are inside some folder, you will have to link <a href="somefolder/filename.htm>File which is inside some folder </a> 3). If you have done the above linking in your computer itself, you can use ftp client to upload. Or go to your cpanel at http://yoursite.trap17.com/cpanel/ > File Manager > public_html > Upload files. But this will probably upload only files but not the folders if you have created one. Therefore the best way is to upload using ftp client. After you connected click public_html and when the folder (empty) open up just transfer (select all in the local site and drag it to the remote site) all your files including folders to the same location. It will configure by itself. If you need further help, please let me know.. |

well i deleted index thnl file under public_html
and uploaded all my files to that folder. lets see if it works.... by the way i use dreamweaver 3 for web page editing... thanks for help |
