Joined forum all right but when I try to set up hosting account using the same info it says 'error only 1 account per person' I tried to use a different name but got same reply. I get this problem with nearly EVERY
place I try to sign up for anything. I wish these places could sort themselves out properly. Can anyone explain. I'm suprised anyone has managed to join. Tell me the secret Paul |

You have to post regularly on these forums, build up 30 credits, and then request hosting. Most of your questions will be answered if you read the readme although it appears to be slightly funky at the moment. Many of us have successful and happy hosting at trap17.

There could be an error with his account somehow. Look at his post count. It's still 0 at the time he posted and started this thread. The hosting credit system might not also be working for him. You might have wait for the administrator to look into your account for further troubleshooting.

Just noticed this topic is posted under Computinghost > Technical questions, so it begs the question : "which service are you attempting to connect to?".
Computinghost is a Paid service, trap17.com is a free service. Their registrations are, of course, different and if we know which one you are questioning, we will be in a better position to answer you. Please reply to this so we can continue to assist, or issue a PM to me. Thanks. |

Negative, he only has one post and that is here in this board, but this is a no post counting board, so that's why his postcount is still zero. |

You need to make a username and password. Then get your points by posting on this forum and then you can sign up for your free webspace. You need 10 points at the least or if you have 30 points you can get more space and Band width.

All I was trying to join was trap17.net which doesn't need any postings to join. I thought I would join the forum first anyway because forums are useful. Then I tried to sign up for hosting service with the same number/password as I used to join the forum and was told there was already an account from that address (which there isn't). One set of info should do for both forum and hosting or there should be a way of starting from scratch. This is a common problem with a lot of sign up forms. |

Trap17.net is a sister company as well. There may be a good answer for why the account name is not available for you, but I do not have access to the information, so let me suggest that you might have to adapt to a new name and password to allow the trap17.net account to be set-up.
Simply browse to trap17.net and have a go at it. Post back here to let us know if it works. Thanks. |

Moving to Trap17 dot NET since the topic is related to instant hosting. Please be specific when asking your question: Trap17.com, Trap17.net or ComputingHost.com.
Try using different email address for your email address may have been used to signup for an account in the past. Trap17.net receives so many spam account activation per day. Therefore, you can either use different email address or see if you can actually use "forgot password" and get the password associated with your email address. |
