Ok, so my hotmail account got uprgaded recently to a nice 250mb account but i, just like all of my friends encountered some problems. It seemed that the site was now all of a sudden very vunerable to crashing. Now, just so everyknows, i found that when i let my ad bloker, unblock this site, then its did start to work as per normal. I was just wondering if anyone else had these problems

Hotmail upgrades your account automatically. You have no controll over when/how this is done. I just simply logged in and noticed that they had this extra 250mb storage which just wasn't there before.
I now have a Gmail account which i have to say is far better then hotmail. Your able to do everything much quicker plus instead of just a measly 250mb account you get a whole 1Gb account for free. However, you cannot sign up to this, you have to be invited by someone. |

I have hotmail and its ok. Although the 250mb storage is enough, there are too many advertisements placed around the pages when you check your mail. GMail I think is much better, with more search features and only Google ads placed on the pages.

I use Gmail and my own eMail (from the hosted space). Hotmail is horrible for many reasons. One, they delte your account if you don't log on for too long. They have advertisements all over the place. Only 3 MBs of space, although I did get recently upgraded to 250Mbs. They don't let attachments bigger than 10 MBs. The list goes on. But what I'm saying is that "free" email service providers are really not worth it. You either get your own email server (like, for example the one I'm using on Trap17), or you get a paid host, or some other, good, free provider. Gmail is free and awsome. So, I dunno. I only use my hotmail account for signing up for websites, because I don't want my real accounts being spammed.

I use hotmail, and I wanted to change for Gmail, but I used hotmail for a long long time, and now its on every site on the web (LoL). Every signup for a site I've used this e-mail, and now I got some dependance from it. If I change it now, it would to cause much problems.

Yeah, hotmail sucks because of, what Templest said, they delete your account after like..10 days of not logging in. It's lame because it has a lot of unecessary features and it has ads all over the place. It's just easier to get Gmail. It's simp |
