Okay, I just lost around 23 credits because I tried to change my password on this page: http://www.trap17.com/manage/ It said password reset was successful when I tried changing it both times, but it never let me change the password to anything! I tried logging in but it still won't let me. I had my trap17 cpanel login info saved on our old computer, and when the computer went down, so too went the login info. Now I don't know the password since it was just a bunch of random letters and numbers trap17 sent me. And on top of this they've taken away 3 weeks worth of hosting credits without even giving me my password! In about 10 minutes I've gone from having 11+ credits to less than -12 credits. If I'd at least gotten my cpanel password out of it, I'd be annoyed but just work on getting the credits back. But this is really bogus. Also, the reason I tried the password reset twice is because I tried it on Firefox the first time. I figured maybe some popup window or scripting didn't show on Firefox, which is known to happen with Firefox, especially when using addons like AdBlock Plus. So I figured I'd give it another shot with Internet Explorer. I didn't really think it would do anything since it now said I had only 1 something credits remaining, and I doubted it would subtract me credits into the negative. But IE didn't do anything either, and just said the password reset was successful, without apparently doing anything. And since it's supposed to charge only 10 credits, I have no idea how it ended up charging more than 20 altogether. The whole system seems to be messed up. QUOTE(BuffaloHELP @ Jan 7 2008, 10:03 PM) PM me with your new password and I will set it up manually. Thank you. Alright, thanks. I sent the password in a reply yesterday, although I'm a little worried because now I'm having trouble finding the original message or sent one in my Inbox or sent messages folder. |

As I just logged in, I have replied to your PM and sent a confirmation. You should be able to access your cpanel with the password you provided.

The system is powered by Ajax :-) So, after you click submit, you need to wait :-) And is your account suspended by any chance? |

It was suspended after 23 credits were taken away from trying to use the cpanel password recovery feature (which is only supposed to subtract 10 credits each time). But now it's well above 0, so there shouldn't be a problem. For some reason the system just won't accept the new password and the username should be right. It shows my site up, I just can't access the controls. And on top of that, some glitch for the site has placed question marks all over some of the pages and since it's a professional career site, I'd like to get that fixed as soon as possible. |

Well, I submitted a ticket to Xisto about it and weeks later I still can't access my account. I tried with the new passwords sent and they don't work. I tried will all the user id's I can think of that my account could have and nothing works. I've been updating the ticket and nothing seems to be working. |

I will try the password reset script and update you back. Send a mail to me directly shridhar ===at=== xisto.com Give me your Forum Login details and I will try to reset the password myself and even check the script for any bugs. Sorry for the Buggy System. However, I do my best to ensure they are error free. Its too expensive to hire a team of programmers to code the free hosting system. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. -Shree |

Joshua's account was reset by me on January 10th. I was able to access his cpanel using password that was designated by Joshua. I am wondering if Joshua's IP or ISP is blocked or having difficulties accessing his hosting account server...? |

If you can access other Trap17 Member's Websites then you are not blocked. However, it is possible that the PORT 2082 is blocked by your ISP. Try both the URLS to access CPanel :- http://gamma.xisto.com:2082 https://gamma.xisto.com:2083 Thank you, Shree |
