i am having a problem running a cgi script written in perl in my site , the path to perl and file permissions and anyother thing that may cause a problem i have checked and found none , the response i get is 500 , internal server error ,i am pretty new to perl but i am sure it's nothin wrong with the code , so if anybody can throw me a light on what may be wrong i will be most grateful ,thanks in anticipation

Hmm...
CGI scripts are always particularly difficult for me to troubleshoot. The first thing that I usually do is check if the CGI script has execute permissions. If it does, then I check the error log (via cPanel), which usually records CGI errors in good detail. If you still can't figure the problem out, read the script's README or documentation again. |

nope it is nothing to do with file permission too and i did check error logs ,infact i tried everything i can google out before posting this topic , i guess it is something to do with apche handler ,anyway i am no longer interested in doing it in cgi , i will use php instead but thanks for replying
