i just finished sweeping my pc with spysweeper, cause a spyware totally infected my pc, the damm thing disabled my wallaper, i could only change a color, plus damaged norton, change my home page, and installed a spysherrif program that was supposed to removed the spyware, of course you need to buy it, plus installed a thing that every3 minutes show me a message in the minitray(righ down corner), like if it was from windows, that tells me that my pc is infected.

SpySweeper apparently removed all the thing, but i still cant change my wallpaper, someone please hellp me, what can i do?

According to my "guesses", I think you have Smitfraud-C. If you want to know more about smitfraud, you should Google Smitfraud-C somewhere...or how to delete Smitfraud-C. Deleteing Smitfraud-C takes vast amounts of time as it comes through great complications. You will need some computer skills to delete smitfraud-C.

The program you have used might not have been Webroot SpySweeper.

If I am you, I would uninstall SpySweeper and use SpyBot Search and Destroy to scan for the spyware. This program should be able to clear off any spyware on your computer, which hence you need not removal it manually.

Here is one exact and dedicate way of removing SpySherrif manually if SpyBot cannot remove it.

you can't remove smitfraud with any spyware program. you need to boot into safe mode, and then delete some things from registry, and from startup (run.. msconfig). it bad malware, and you best format your computer, and don't download activeX components on porn sites. also use firefox browser - is better!! (ffox can't use activeX so when page tell you need download you see that it bad virus)
