Hello everyone, maybe someone already posted this but I searched all the topics and didn't find anything related so here it is:
Did google and yahoo made a combination that resulted in a new site called GAHOOYOOGLE.COM? I think that some genius computer hacker guy made this site to make it easy to people to search. My friend told me about this site and I was asking myself:''When did that happened?!'' Idon't think that this is too dificult to make but is it legal. Google and Yahoo do know this because it is listed in their sites. |

Umm...I knew about this site since September 2005.
It was featured in the NetNow section of "The Magazine". Anyways, it doesn't take a genius to make that site. It is just 3 frames: top banner, google search and Yahoo! search. I personally use the Yahoo! side more often. There are other similar sites that have been taken down. I did a page on Gahoo!Yoogle on my website. GO check it out. |

I doubt that these two rival search engines would just team up and make their own page, and if they really did there would be a lot more advertising for it. I had never heard of this until you brought it up. There are already a lot of combined search engines such as http://mysearch.com where you can search many engines at once, and I think that's all GAHOOYOOGLE is. Just someone who wanted to search a couple engines at once. Plus, I dont see any google or Yahoo copyrights, and they would put them if they were in on it.

There are a lot of websites on the internet available which do these kind of things, it's very easy to create a website like that I reckon. I stick to the original Google

Also does anyone know search.com I think it is the best combination of search engines like google, msn, askjeeves, and lots of other major search engines. |

Sure...the page might be down because of improper FTP uploading, but it case you want to know, it is NOT a search engine. It is just information about Gahoo!Yoogle.
{{http://portal.trap17.com/}} click on Search Engines and then About Gahoo!Yoogle. The actual link is http://portal.trap17.com/gahooyoogle.html. Go check it out, even the screenshots. Just don't refresh too much to waste my bandwidth. |

Ha, that's pretty cool. Took someone long enough to try that out. Just google "Cheese" or something simple, and you can see how different the results are. A little difficult to view, but we can all get around that.
