Im looking for a good reliable forum for my website. I dont really have the money to spend 100s of dollars on them so what are the best free or cheap fourms, but still work well and are able to have cool looking templates.

any suggestions would help, so i can check them out. thanks

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Check out AEF Forums at their Board

Download a copy from their main page

Of course, I am prejudice towards it, since I Moderate that Forum and assist with the Development a little, too. tongue.gif

I used phpbb3 before i bought my vbulletin license. It worked fine and was nice.

Also here are some links that will help u compare different forums: http://www.forummatrix.org/

Note I suggest a forum coded in php that is compatible with a mysql database

I would go with simplemachines.org Their free and have excelent forums. They got a lot of themes that you can view as a demo in just one whole site! www.smfthemes.org

Moderations are good. They got a lot for ad manager incase you want or don't want ads.

Goodluck with your forums;
