I've been looking for call of duty united offensive servers with hopefully 16-20 slots. Now, I don't have the permission nor the money to purchase my own coduo server for $2 as slot, as most of the rentals are at that price, does anybody know any kind of special deal or anything where you post or do something in exchange for a server? Or anyway to setup servers either on a computer or on an external server that is free and lagless?
Now I know this probably isn't possible, but I've seen some crazy stuff, so I'm just going to hope for the best. Thanks! |

I don't play COD but you should be able to host a server from a home PC w/ the game. as far as getting lagless it will be hard w/o a t1 line cause your upload speed w/ basic cable is only about 400 where t1 is 1500 .
I use trintygames.net for my BF2 server and am very happy w/ it. its expensive if you pay for it by yourself |

Hmm, yeah, I've always thought of getting a paypal account for my clan and having each person pitch in like 4 bucks a month to get a server. Only problem is probably a lot of people will leave the clan
 .Anyway, my upload is somewhere in the mid 300's I think, so the server would lag a bit, but there are no special offers out there are there? Where you can post in forums or do something or complete an offer or what not for gameserver hosting? |

the only way I know is if you find a server hosting company that will sponsor your server
basically they give you a server and you use thier graphic and advertise for them. you would have to keep the server full and give them so many referals. I've seen a few do that but now that they're established and have no problem making money they dont offer it anymore. search around and ask host company's that have cheezy websites. they're usually broke and will make a deal w/ you. |

Tell anyone who donates a certain amount of money can have admin rights on the server or give them some type of special privellage. Yeah that's the one I've seen, too! I just don't understand what the difference between a private and public server is.

I play CoD and I have been a co-leader in many clans and have had to find good servers to buy. I found some good ones but I really don't remeber them. But anyway here's a recomendation search google witht the keywords: Cheap Call of Duty Servers.

There are enough cheap gameserver hosts, take hyperized.co.uk for example, but they host gameservers in europe.

i host a CS 1.6 server, and a HL2DM server at same time, 32 player slots - works like a charm specs: 54MPBs wireless 1.6ghz processer 480mb ram 20gb hard drive (  )AOL gold |
