You only need one site to find all this. If you go to http://w3schools.com there you can learn HTML, PHP, ASP, Java, CSS and just about every other language. You start from the ground and work up from there. If you would like tutorials on making certain scripts for certain things go to http://pixel2life.com That is for tutorials on how to make certain things with the script like a content management system.

Just buy books. They will teach you many things. And even read the stuff you already know because you might learn something. If you want HTML first than buy more books on that. Than when you know what you need to on it, go to PHP and buy books on that and read. They really do help. I have a PHP For Dummies book and I've learned from it. When I'm done with my PHP book I will be getting many others to read so I can get a lot better at PHP. Just buy some books and look on the internet.

Also, Tizag.com One thing is that books are hard to use because you cannot just copy and paste and edit easily. I would discourage it if you don't have a lot of time. Online is better and faster. That is the way to go. However, the books are good if you want to know on how it works or why something isn't working. For instance, on why a link doesn't work.

Or a lot of money. Learning online most of the time doesn't cost you anything.

Oh gosh, I found hundreds of links to awesome tutorials on Pixel2Life.com. I've heard of that site before, but only now did I realize all it's offerings.

I myself prefer HTML at all, it is better to designe a website. It would never brak down due to server down or low internet speed of site users. But PHP is not so. Even ASP is better than PHP, but it has its own difficulty also.
