  • my name is jordan nagle. First off i'd like to say that i am a strong christian. I found out about your site from word of mouth and have researched it wuite a bit and have heard nothing but good things. I am currently with nearlyfreespeech.net and am kind of sad for leaving them, but with the website i am trying to host, the cost will add up eventually.
    
    I am working on a website based on mediawiki called apolopedia. It is a christian apologetics encyclopedia and hope to get it going well!
    
    i love web design and soccer and would eventually like to work in a church full time.

  • I do have a few questions about your hosting and im not sure exactly what the process is but here goes.
    
    1. I would like to get the one that's worth 30 points, but what is the upgrade your account for? Will i be able to upgrade it past the default?
    2. Is the number of points, the number of days i get off from posting the forum? I think that kinda confused me!
    3. I would like to move all my wiki stuff from nearlyfreespeech.net to yours, will it be an easy process and do you have a good tip for me to do that without losing data?
    4. Will i have to direct my domain to your ip before i sign up for hosting?

Free Web Hosting Plan#2 Approved

Complete your application by following the instruction provided with the confirmation email. Kindly whitelist Trap17 email, if found under your bulk/junk box, by adding Trap17 to your contact list, marking all Trap17 email as "not spam" and move it to your inbox. Activating your hosting account will result in your hosting credits resetting to a default amount so stay active in the forum.

Answer:

1) If you currently have 30 hosting credits and were approved for Hosting Plan #2, you will get hosting plan #2. Upgrade is for members who started with plan #1 and want to move up to plan #2

2) Think it simpler--number of hosting credits = number of free hosting days. You can stay at the forum as long as you'd like, as often as you'd like or as little as you'd like. Just as long as you keep your hosting credits in positive number you will have hosting from Trap17.

3) Can you backup your wiki database? If you have installed backup or restored database it should be easy.

4) If you have your own domain name, simply change your domain's nameservers to:

ns.computinghost.com
ns2.computinghost.com

and THEN activate your Trap17 hosting account using your domain name.
