Huh?

If you're talking about Battlefield 1942, its Minimum System Requirements are as follows:

QUOTE
* Windows® XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, (Windows NT and 95 are not supported)
* 500 MHz Intel® Pentium® or AMD Athlon™ processor
* 128 MB RAM
* 4x CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive
* 1.2 GB free hard disk space plus space for saved games (additional space required for Windows swap-file and DirectX™ 8.1 installation)
* 32 MB video card which supports Transform & Lighting and with DirectX 8.1 compatible driver
* DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
* Keyboard, Mouse

And, It's published by EA, and it's not that old. You still need to buy it.

Free LEGAL game downloads are few and far between, sorry. Most PC games you'll run will be ones that you buy.

If you want to play full-version games legally, you'll have to buy them.

Demos, however; are free and can be found just about anywhere. Try the game maker's website to see whether or not demos are available. For Star Wars games, I'd bet http://www.lucasarts.com is the place to go. Similarly http://www.ea.com for Battlefield games.

Another place worth checking out is http://www.download.com

All will provide legal demo version games. It's definitely worth trying out the demo before paying for the full game - just to get a feel for whether or not you like it

Hedgehogpie, if demos aren't your cup of tea and neither is paying cash for full version games, you might want to look up and learn about "torrents".

I'll leave it at that because anything else I say will no longer be considered "free" and "legal".

Good luck.

Heres another link http://www.flash-game.net/ One of my favourites and you can d/load any game, create the HTML for it and insert it to your forum or webpage all for free.

Heres an example you just copy the HTML code to your clipboard and insert to appropriate dir by yourself.

If you look through flash-game.net I'm sure I saw a small starwar or battfield version somewhere!

Or why not d/load http://mame32.classicgaming.gamespy.com/download.htm (mame32 arcade emulator) or any other emulator for that matter, you must google hard for the roms though! Definitely a full starwars game to be found in the roms!

There is a freeware FPS Full Version named America's Army. This game was developed by US Army. This is free and has lots of real world war tactics with actual weapons, and great gameplay with good graphics. You can download this game in the following site http://www.americasarmy.com/. The size of this game is around 700 MB.

Ive played Americas Army before and I have to say for it being a freeware game, it was actually pretty good. The graphics were decent and the game play was decent also. So that is a good game in probably a 100 million.

No free games? There are a lot of free games on the Internet, well I guess I exaggerated a bit, not a lot but there is some, especially rgps.

Here are some First person Shooters that I have seen:

http://tremulous.net/index.php?section=files

Dont know too much about it, I have just downloaded it a couple of days ago, I havent installed it yet.

and:

http://www.gunzonline.com/

I havent played it either, I havent downloaded it yet. The reason why I havent installed either of these games is because Im backing up my pc to do a clean install.

The americas army also looks great.

If its not a hobby, I wonder where the people who create these games get money and time from.

Enjoy =)
