Wow.. I've tried it and it's really free. But I think it is only free for awhile only since it's still in beta. Probably after beta, it'd end this free service. Anyway, the voice quality is clear and is as good as skype. Even the interface follows Skype, hence its alot easy to use.

I know its free for the caller at the PC. But is it free for the caller who receives it? Does the receiver pays like an overseas call?

Well as much as I would like to try this I don't think I would. No I don't believe it costs money over the internet because internet costs are how much time you use the internet or in my case a flat pay. For the reciever though I bet it could cost money if cell phone providers notice what is occurring or know about this. I am going to have to look more into this. Another question is it safe? Someone could hack into your call or get the number of the person you call because it is coming from the computer not two phones.

Good point raised. I never though that this company might use the number for 3-rd party usage, and even worst might be due to spamming and hacking. Definately, we cannot rule out that possibility. Although it looks like Skype on its interface, still it does give me a feeling that this software is going to capture something from me. They might not have included spyware or adware in their program, but probably they would use our telephone numbers for their own use without our acknowledgement.

I thought now adays internet service providers are providing flat rate internet service already? If that's the case, then it should be counted as free calls. If a user has to pay be minutes or bytes of usage while connected to the internet, that probably might not be really free as he/she still has to pay for internet bills. Since mine is also flat rate which I pay every month for unlimited internet access, I use the internet for more than 12 hours each day. Hence it's pretty much considered free for me.

That sounds good but I'd be scared to try it. I'd rather just stick to PC-PC calls lol. Anything that sounds to good to be true probably is, right?

Voipstunt is from the same compagny as voipbuster and the calles you make to landlines in and to some countries is totaly free of cost BUT it's limited to a few minuts for instance voipbuster is free of charge 1 minut a time and viopstunt upto 40minuts for the whole period after that you need to register the program and buy credits for at least $5 if I recall correctly.

When you payed the money by phone, paypall or by creditcard you will be able to continue the free landline calles but now whit a limit of 1 hour a call (long enough I think).

The credits will remain for 180 days after that they will be gone if you dont make any payed calles (this can be even 1 miinut to a cellphone) and the counter is set back for another 180 days.

The reciever of the call does not pay anything and so dont you whit the exeption of $5 to get cretits to be able to call for 'free' for an hour a call.

I am using Voipbuster (again same compagny) for a few months right now and never had any problems nor a bill for my calles made by it. I also have a free inbount number so people can call me to on that line (they pay the normal rate if they call by landline or cellphone) which is normal imo.

Could be the time rating limits have chanced in the meantime but trust me what they say is treu they don't charge you extra for the calles.
