This is a good host for begginners. This was my third overall host after i tried http://www.freewebs.com/ and http://www.tripod.lycros.com/. It contains Free phpBB Forum Hosting, Free Blog Hosting, Free Domain, and regular Free Hosting.

Can you get... a real free domain? Is it a sub-domain or a top level domain?
I got a yourname.cjb.net from it if that is what you mean.

That webhosting just gives you a subdomain i dont think its worth it. So you have to post a few times a day or even a week on this site but you get the best features there is on the market for free. I have been looking long and hard for a hosting that had the features of a paid hosting company but cost nothing. The company has to make their money somehow to afford the hosting so instead of them giving you ads on their site or making you pay a monthly payment you simply just need to <- snipped -> here on trap17 and post every so often. I dont expect to leave this hosting unless something happens and it has to close down i dont see that happening anytime soon so it looks like ill be with this hosting for quite a long time. I dont mind the subdomain the trap17 gets you i just pay like $10 a year for a domain name and thats all i have to pay for.}

i think tripod was my first hosting for my site.. and it stinked.. it had ads.. it took half of the page.. Freewebs is not that bad but there is only an amount of files you can upload. It doesn't have a lot of space, no php,msyql.. so really they are nowhere near trap17, which has everything you need. I have found other free hosting sites but i prefer to stay here because there are so many people and if i need help they can usualy help you.
