Anyonw knows of any free DCC file transfer program like those in mIRC DCC sending...
It have to be p2p, but not those kazaa or limewire type..
Just those which you can directly connect to an IP address and send a file directly....

You couldn't use an FTP program, could you?
And by the way, what's p2p?

P2P is short for Peer 2 Peer. Basically its a program that takes all the programs in a certain folder and makes it available for anyone to download. When they download it they get bits and pieces from everyone who has taht specific file.

MSN Messenger just couldn't do large file transfers, and its too slow...
Once there a disconnection, forget about resuming your transfer...

IRC is able to however.
Just looking to alternatives for such...

When they download it they get bits and pieces from everyone who has taht specific file.

Programs like BitTorrent & Emule do it that way. Others like Soulseek you actually download the whole file from one location.

mIRC fulfills all my needs XD

But I've tried out this program called WWW File Share. Just go to:

WWW File Share Pro is a small HTTP server that can help you share files with your friends. They can download files from your computer or upload files from theirs.

I've only used it to allow other users to download directly from my computer, and it worked beautifully. You could add multiple username/password protection and even customize the page from which others downloaded your files from. I'm guessing the upload feature will be just as functional.

I hope this was kinda like what you were looking for smile.gif
