Have you installed the application.. once you've installed it, the programme is quite easy to understand as it has a nice user interface..

Or you can go through their tutorials for more information.

Hope it helps..

That's a wonderful program, very good editor with support for some good plug-in's, thanks agentblade.

I used to use Adobe Audition, Sonic audio tools and others wich are very expensive if one wants to make some cool techno music, but now i guess i can try this one, perhaps is not that good, i'm sure of it, but it will do the job.

I uase Audacity for editing song lengths and turning the voulume down to then have them as intro audio for my DVD projects - Very easy to use and great lossless quality - I give it a 5 star rating for my purposes.

I've seen many good reviews about Audacity freeware program. However I've not tried using that program yet. Probably some time later if I have the chance to explore its functions. I'm using Nero SoundTrax and Wave Editor since they are included in the Nero package. They worked pretty well for me, at least to the features that I needed.

If anyone would point out features that other audio editing software doesn't have, I'd probably download Audacity sooner to try out.

Yes, that is a very nice program. It was already preinstalled in my computer that I got from college, because we actually had an audio / video course, and in that we used audacity. I don't think it would have been too hard to learn if I hadn't had that course, because all the things seem logical. It would have probably just taken me longer to figure it all out lol.

Oh well... I really like it, and often I use it to record music off live radio shows that are hosted online. So that I can export them into mp3 form and listen to them easier. It's really helpful for that smile.gif

Well I haven't really played with Nero's sound editor so I don't know how it compares. Audacity has some nice features that only usually appear on professional grade software (protools) like noise removal, hi-pass and low-pass filters, a decent equalizer, a compressor, etc. I also find the interface a lot more intuitive than most other audio editing programs.
