well you can get the presintalled forum scripts on trap17.com hosted accounts, most of them are pretty much up to date except for invisionboard which you must purchase to have it updated.

Ummmm, isn't a message Board different from a forum?
I think of a message Board as a smll window inside a page. Like the Shoutbox would be a message board.
Let us know if the forum is what you want or whether you want an ad-less "message board".

A message board is a forum. If you get a hosting account from trap17, go to your cpanel, fantastico, and look under message board. You will see php forum installation.

they removed it now. Invision should be added at the scripts zone since its like one of the best widely used forums
