lol, another one liner...

depending on what game your tryin to make, (rpg or fps) u can get licenses to use different engines, the best fps rite now would probably be unreal 3 (yes u3 not 2, its coming out soon). i dont really know anything about rpg engines so i cant help u.

unreal is an fps, so it won't work for every game but you should probably look on google or specify the type of engine you need.

Ya I know Unreal Tournament 2003 had a program with it, it was for making maps, but i think I remember hearing you could mod UT with it too.

I know for a fact that Unreal is the basis of alot of ftp's.

Being a HUGE fan of Unreal Tournament, I'm going to look into it.

I'm sad to say that I dont have UT2004 cuz my comp sucks. Anyone played it? How is it?!

The map editor has nothing to do with the game's engine.

The engine is basically the core of the game. You don't 'see' or 'use' it, as such.
