Did you notice that Korean actresses always have virtually flawless skin and fair skin? The following information was compiled from magazine and website interviews of Korean Actresses' methods of keeping their skin fair and soft.
![]() 1. Lee Young Ae's Black Tea Mask How: Place Black Tea bag, brown sugar and water together into a mug, as though you are preparing a cup of tea. Boil the mixture and allow it to cool to 37 - 40 degrees celsius. Add flour into the mixture and stir until it is even. Apply the mixture to your face. Cleanse your face after 15 minutes. Why it works: Caffeine in black tea increases white pigmentation, while brown sugar moistens the skin. ![]() 2. Song Hye Kyo's Egg Whitening Cream How: Crack open a fresh, raw egg. Mix it with a teaspoon of honey. Before you sleep, apply it to your face and massage with your fingers for 10 minutes. After awhile when your skin no longer feels damp and sticky, cleanse your face. Do it twice for optimum results. Why it works: Egg white stimulates the skin cells, promotes blood circulation and effectively repairs damage to our skin. Egg-yolk contains rich lecithin, glycerin trinitrate fat and villetin, which are elements that many whitening products contain. ![]() 3. Choi Ji Woo's Pearl Power Treatment for Pearl-white skin How: Mix a pinch of pearl powder together with a a teaspoon of milk and honey. Add a little water if it is difficult to obtain a smooth mixture. Once the mixture is even, apply it to your face and massage for 20 minutes. Cleanse face after 20 minutes. ![]() 4. Kim Nam Joo's Mineral Water Moisturizers How: Place fresh mineral water in a small sprinkler bottle. Every now and then, you can take it out and spray it directly onto your face, and then clap your face gently with your hands. Why it works: Pure mineral weter contains silicic acid. While supplementing the skin's moisture content, silicic acid is being absorbed, which increases the skin elasticity, accelerates melanin (dark pigment) precipitation discharge and increases the skin's luminosity. ![]() 5. Jeon Ji Hyun's Hydrogen Peroxide Solution How: After washing your face, use a clean hankerchief or towel to dip into a bottle of 30% hydrogen peroxide solution to extract some of the solution. Gently wipe the hankerchief/towel over your face. Do this for 1 to 2 times a day, 3 - 5 minutes each time. If you do this for 7 to 10 days straight, you should see the effect. Why it works: Hydrogen peroxide solution is an ingredient present in many cosmetology products. However, bear in mind that it can irritate the skin if used excessively, so do not use more than necessary. ![]() 6. Kim Hee Sun's Watermelon How: Juice a fresh watermelon slice. After scraping away the watermelon flesh, use the watermelon skin to massge your face, with the inside of the skin against your face. Cleanse with water. Why it works: Drinking watermelon juice stimulates the absorption of water by the skin. Watermelon skin increases the metabolism rate of the skin. It can straigten out wrinkles and increases luminity and elasticity of the skin. |

These are fantastic. Some of these ingredients are going to go on the grocery list, but where does one get pearl powder for Choi Ji Woo's treatment?

Like what Vera said, how on Earth could we get pearl powder? I doubt they're readily available in grocery stores.
I already know some of the tips, like Song Hye Kyo's egg treatment. My cousins use it. Its cheap because eggs don't cost much. I tried it but can't really continue with the treatment because I can't really stand the smell of raw eggs. I'm interested with the black tea face mask treatment though. |
