I have been searching all over the place to find some dvd decoders that will allow me to play original and copied dvd's. I got my hands on a k'lite package which had quite a few on there but unfortunatly doesnt work with any of my dvd's.
The DVDRW drive I bought came without any disks or even screws so no luck with that and I would like to avoid paying for them if I can help it as I have limited funds available to me at the moment Anyone have any ideas on where I can go? |

I couldn’t understand your quest one hundred percent. But I am assuming that you want to copy the original and play back the copied DVD.
Since TRAP17 TOS states that there should never be any illegal activities at any times, your question will have to stop here. However, according to certain DVD manufactures, you are legally, by law, able to make your personal backup IF you are the sole legal owner of said material. Under this circumstance, your inability to copy your DVD might be due to one or more of the following reasons:

a perfectly legal program to own is DVD Idle.
that can play all regions, all protected DVDs. a very worthwhile program to own. but if you can't even play your originals, something else is wrong, i think. do you have the proper codecs installed, ASPI layer, (that was a problem on one old drive i had), or it's not installed properly? |

I think i understand what you mean and there is a free and legal program to use to watch any dvd from any country and region.Funnily enough it is called AnyDvd by Slysoft, Here are soem features so u can see if it is what you want and the link to get it.
www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html AnyDVD is a driver, which descrambles DVD-Movies automatically in the background. This DVD appears unprotected and region code free. With the help of AnyDVD you can watch movies with non matching region codes with every DVD Player Software you like! AnyDVD allows you also to play Audio CDs But AnyDVD does much more, of course. For example, it is possible to control the rotational speed of your DVD drive AnyDVD can remove unwanted user prohibitions, e.g. it removes forced subtitles |

I think I get what you meant...
You meant that you wanted a player that can play DVD movies which then all your current players on your computer couldn't play and they only play MP3, WMA, WAV etc.. If that is so, you need a DVD player because with a DVD player installed, a DVD codec is also installed.. With that, you can play DVD on Window Media Player, Real Player etc. as well... Heres some DVD players you can consider... Cliprex DVD Player http://www.cliprex.com/ (Freeware) Ogle DVD Player OpenSource http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/groups/dvd/ (Freeware) DVD-X-Player http://www.dvd-x-player.com/ (Trial) WinDVD http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVD_Profile.jsp (Trial) If you are trying to copy DVDs, refer to the previous few posts... Copying DVDs requires some programs to be installed to bypass security checks and decrypts DVD data, which can be illegal if it's not for personal purposes like what BuffaloHELP has said... There are legal softwares like DVDIdle ( http://www.dvdidle.com/ ) if you really want to copy it for your personal backup etc. Note that DVDIdle only bypass security checks, DVD region as well as decrypts DVD data but it does not do copying.. You will need another software to do copying with DVDs.. You may like to try these DVD copying softwares... 123CopyDVD http://www.123copydvd.com/ FastDVDCopy http://www.fastdvdcopy.com/ DVD-X-Copy http://www.dvd-x-copy.net/ Remember: It's against the law to make illegal copies of copyrighted material! You are on your own in regard to any legal issues. |
