hey!

there's been some time i have my site hosted here in trap17.

now i'm planning to get a domain name and of course continue to get hosted here. But lately my mind is all blank and i can't think of anything funny, cool and interesting. You know that type of domains you really need to visit.

My site is about my personal blog and photography portfolio. I have goodies as downloadable wallpapers and forum signatures. I plan on setting up a somewhat community with photography subjects, site design and another random stuff.

So the domain names i have in mind now are:

www.dans-network.com

www.dan-network.com

www.dan-spot.com

Now as you may figured my first name is Daniel so as mainly the site is my personal blog and portfolio i think dan suits like a glove in my domain name.

Now its grammar correct that you say Dan's Network. But personally i prefer www.dan-network.com over www.dans-network.com

Please help me in this dillema... I'm open to new domain suggestions. Please help

If you are toying with an idea for catchy domain name that involves DAN as a prefix, would you consider the followings?

This is the condensed version of “dan-network.” It sounds like “dan at work.” And your logo can have DAN in one color, let’s say, with a slight double vision of the letter N, followed by ETWORK. Therefore, making your logo to appear as DANNETWORK. Or, even do all caps of DAN and etwork (DANetwork) with N as your separator.

I agree. The simpler the web address, simpler to be remembered by all. Web address should go back to the basics; none of that www.hosting-company-name-place.com. dan-network.com is short and straight to the point. dans-network.com is bit confusing. It is better to read, "dan dash network" than "dans dash network."

Yeah nothing's worse then a domain you can't tell people! For examlpe did you know that slash dot.com was dessigned as a joke! so you would read it h-t-t-p-colon-slash-slash-slash-dot-dot-com! talk about a mouthful

But seriously try something other then network, how about domain, or dominion.

or rather then saying dannetwork.com try d-network, like "de place to be" In fact here's a catchy slogan 'd-network.com D place to B' That wourld work even better if you could find a word that started with B for your address!

that way you have allertiraton, or try to find a word that works with your first and last name. So look for a word that starts with your first name/initial, and ends with something like your last name!

Anyway I've probably made it a lot harder.

i think dan-spot is the bets coz it is short and direct , so i prefere www.dan-spot.com most

As my blog is about the funny things of life.. i think dan-spot is great for me. But... i had a great idea meanwhile.

According to Web CEO, your most important keyword should be in your URL to increase your PR for search engines. I have no idea how important it is, however.
