 DNS trouble, Need help setting up my uni.cc |

When setting up the dns for my new uni.cc, do I just type in the name servers for trap17 and wait for it to update? Or do I type in the IP? hmm... Anybody?

Just put these ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com, and wait about 12-24 hours to let it propagate. That's all there's to it, at least in most cases. And do try to check the forums first for similar topics

I already tried that and wated 48 hours. I guess I can always try again.

i suppose you could try the ip address if you wanted to but it should work give it some time i suppose.

yes thats a normal url. Here is what might be wrong:
1. Have u registered your .uni.cc domain? 2. Have u pointed it to the right settings? 3. Have you got all of your site in the right place? thats all i can think of atm |

My site is good. www.zyklon.trap17.com I registered with uni.cc and it works fine on url forward.
I entered the servers like so: http://www.zyklon.trap17.com/misc/ns.jpg There is also an option: http://www.zyklon.trap17.com/misc/mx.jpg |

one tick NS (For external Name servers) and make sure u put the server name in capitals. May as well just copy it off the portal page and paste it into the section. I hope it all works for you now
