I did one semester of Delphi programming at TAFE. It was my first introduction to any programming language and I did OK at it but not great. Since then I haven't looked at Delphi again but I do think it helped me with the basic programming concepts when I started doing classic ASP instead.

Right. I read you learnt in first semester about Delphi. I don't believe. DO YOU KNOW win API functions? Or some external functions?

For me ASP(Active Server Page) is easy. What about JSP., PHP... Of cource Delphi is not Web language. Is in't it?

There is no prerequisite for learning a programming language. C++ is a good foundation for all programming languages however, but Visual Basic 6.0 is terrible IMO. There is nothing really similiar to its syntax, and it teaches very poor programming practice; you can get away with anything.
