Under no circumstances should you run a repair utility such as Scandisk or Chkdsk on the formatted drive.
Reformatting a disk does not erase the data on the disk, but only the address tables pointing to the file loactions in the hard disk. read this before proceeding http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1139 Try any one of the following softwares, at your own risk http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file_recov....htm?language=1 http://www.partition-recovery.com/download.htm |

The drive had Vista intalled on it. I have tried running the demo of EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard 3.0 downloading it from http://recovery-review.com/unformat-tools/4/, but the software does'nt seem to even find my lost files...
Am I doing something wrong? |

I have a WD hard drive with 2 partitions. One for OS and the other for data. I have accidently formatted my 2nd partition and all the data in there is gone. Is there any good program for data recovering? I have used Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software. To helps to recover lost partition and data from formatted hard drive. Or data lost due to software malfunction, viruses or even sabotage. I had some good result with this software, saved my hard worked. You can download the demo version of the software, if the demo is able to show you the preview of the recovered data then get the full version to save it. |
