Have a look, please. Forum link is top of the left-hand sidebar. AEF Forum software can be downloaded from http://anelectron.com sNews CMS can be downloaded from http://www.snewscms.com/ The link above shows the two combined using a Wordpress Theme as a base for the layout (modified), and integrates a centred, horizontal Unordered List as a Navigation Bar below the header, courtesy of Stu Nicholls at http://cssplay.co.uk I need to begin coding a Login integration script next. Right after I do a couple of Tutorials on AEF and sNews. Your thoughts? |

for starters, i'm impressed.
my concern with the forum is how it appears to be framed. is that assumption right? couldn't it possibly just flow as part of the template, without the forum scrollbars which are appearing now? the scrollbars i believe just disrupts the forum in my opinion, at least i'm not used to a forum that way. more to come as development progresses... |

Thats what I was thinking just redesign the skin to fit with the theme and then have it expand as forums get added to the forum instead of having it frame. That way search engines will be able to index the posts and topics and what not and build a good SEO for a website. Although when you look at the website with the forum loaded on IE you don't see the scroll bar at all.
If you going for the CMS look you would want to have forum stats, lates posts and topics somewhere on the site as well to make it more integrated. |
