There's a Coke promotion that's been going on for a few months (it might just be in the US?) called My Coke Rewards. You get codes under your caps or in the 12 pack boxes, enter the codes on your phone or online, and then you can use your points to get some pretty cool prizes.

The only problem is that sometimes the rewards are "sold out" before you get enough points for them. I was working on an Adidas gift certificate but had to settle for a magazine subscription. Then they added some things and I've just saved up enough to get a free month of Disney's Toontown Online! So, hopefully it will still be there tomorrow when I try to redeem my points.

Has anyone else been doing this? How has your experience been? I think this promotion runs for a few more months.

Well reading this I decided I would check it out and ended up signing up. My family drinks a lot of soda so I figured I could try to earn some points before it ends and hopefully get a decen reward if they have them. Mine as well make some money back after all we give to them tongue.gif I'll let you know how things turn out for me if I do end up trying to get something.

I had something similar happen to me with pepsi's version of the contest a few years back.

I saved over 750 caps and lids from mountain dew bottles and cans to get an Xbox. I was in animation class watching the Xbox's making sure they still had them, and they still had over 500. Within my 10 minute drive home to order one after class let out: all 500 were sold. that angered me.

Yeah after my incident I gave coke a try and yes I do agree. they sold out anything and everything so i stopped saving my caps.

I'm not sure, but does this have anything to do with the iCoke rewards or is that something entirely different? It would seem that Coca-Cola has a monopoly over our campus because all the beverages that our food vendors sell are coke-owned products.

Anyway, I remember a few friends of mine who were avid coke drinkers and they would exchange their points for movie tickets... I have yet to try it out myself but yeah... seems like a good incentive to load up on pop/points.

Ouch, sounds like some bad experiences.

I usually don't do stuff like that, because more often than not they're a let down. But I do agree that coke makes alot of profit, and has ALOT of customers
