News Flash for those taxpayers who are racing to submit their Canadian Tax Returns (today being the traditional deadline date).

Due to the overwhelming demand for the filing over the Internet, and the extreme pressure placed on the Server at the Data Centre, the deadline for filing your 2007 Canadian Tax returns has been adjusted to May 6th for those filing using the Efile method.
Apparently, if you intend to file by mail, or non-efile methods, the deadline remains at April 3oth (today).

Thanks for the information but it's too late. I filed mine on Sunday tongue.gif

I wonder if they'll also waive the late filing fee if someone owes them money when they file, or whether they're just going to let you file late and then zap you with the penalty?

Sounds like my school, if too many people complain about a date or how busy they the date is moved back later. Of course this has to do with too many at once. Procrastination. biggrin.gif It is nice of them though to change the date because for those who have dial up it must be a pain to have to wait three hours to get them to send and then it be late because of a slower internet speed.
