Well, I've recently launched a new blog which is http://reviewsaurus.com
And the problem which I am facing is that it is not getting indexed by google at all.

Here's the proof of that sad.gif
site:http://www.reviewsaurus.com/

If you click on the link..it will show you the information of how many pages are indexed by google and the sad part is there's none sad.gif

let me explain you the whole scenario :-

I had some extra space left in my webhosting account so I thought of starting a new blog. So I went ahead and bought the domain name and then with the help of ADD-ON domain I was able to host it on the same webspace. Now, my question is...that is this because of ADD-ON domain? can add-on domain be the reason for non-inlusion of my blog?

Well, here's the list of steps which I've taken in order to index my site by google :

CODE
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Language" CONTENT="EN">
<META NAME="author" CONTENT="Mayank Gupta">
<META NAME="distribution" CONTENT="Global">
<META NAME="revisit-after" CONTENT="1 days">
<META NAME="copyright" CONTENT="Copyrights © 2006 Mayank Gupta">
<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="FOLLOW,INDEX">
<link rel="alternate" href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/Reviewsaurus" type="application/atom+xml"/>

well, this is the meta tag information of my blog. I know these days meta tags are not given high priority but still it counts a bit.

I've also submitted the SITEMAP in the http://google.com/webmasters/sitemap and this is my sitemap URL
http://reviewsaurus.com/sitemap.xml

There's no Robots.txt on my server.

Please help me!

perhaps try to add your URL to google via their site submission page too:
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

you may want to read more also on google information for webmasters... especially on how to get your site listed with them:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/1.html

as for your question with regards to add-ons, i would say that that would have no effect whatsoever in your site's non-presence in google's index. from experience, i have add-on domains too, and they do appear in google.

there's also the one-click Search Engine Submit available via cPanel. check it out. smile.gif it includes submission to alltheweb, directhit, google (of course! biggrin.gif), hotbot, lycos, and mixcat. it's better to have them in as much search engines as you can. biggrin.gif and this is a start. smile.gif and now that you have your site prominently hardcoded in trap17 forums as well (which i would think is widely indexed by google) via this thread, your domain will get into google in due time.

btw, what app do you use for your blog?

I think there are still a few things you can do. for one you can make a complaint and tell them to crawl your site with their spiders with this link http://www.google.co.in/quality_form?q=sit...2006-14,GGLJ:en

another thing that is bothering me a bit is that you dont have any description or keyword meta tags in your site. i think if you add them this will help people fin your site better when they look for it in google once it is listed.

But you know how many websites there are in the internet. and google cant crawl all of them all the time smile.gif Wait a month or so i would say. Then see if you have it. smile.gif

It was only a matter of time. It usually takes Google a little while to index a site. As you may already know, you are indexed in Google. You can also use allinurl:yoursitename or just your sitename with and without the .com part.

no the addon domain would only impact on your search position not on your inclusion. google are horrible at indexing new stes. expect a wait of 3 months before jumping to the conclusion you're not on their list.

maybe getting more links from other blg to you blog will help.

also googlebot goes to your site, and makes a note to crawl it later based on its PR. so you coudl still be on the list next time your domain is crawled.

have you checked your stats for googlebot or msnbot etc?

If your site has been up and running online for more than a month Google has probably crawled once. And that proof is there since Google has indexed the front, index or homepage. It is always helpful to use meta description and meta keywords, they help the robots identify the content. If you are implementing this step, just wait another 2 to 3 weeks. It should be indexed all over again with this new step you have taken.

While visiting your website what really bothers me is the color of your active links and links. The color you are using is blue but too blur. Why don't you use a more visible color? May be dark blue will do. It is not so much comfortable with eyes, in fact i don't feel like seeing your website. My eyes are about to get tired looking at the links. The same is with search engines.
