Can database column names start with a number or must they start with a letter like php vars? Like my_table.1fieldname ?
Does this vary from db system to db system? Is it considered good/bad form? |

It'd probably be better to put the number at the end like fieldname1 instead of putting the number at the beginning. I don't know if it will even let you put the number at the beginning but it's probably easier to put it at the end plus when you go to say it you generally would put it at the end.
