I think it’s time we took hip-hop back to the old days
back when the stage was on fire cause we set it ablaze
keeping it clean having kids paraphrasing my phrase

never following a pattern but creating new ways
and getting praise for creating a new craze

the days when we got it, talent exceeded all never failure

so bring back the good old days

never showing of battle scars
as together the world was ours

mic skills splendid, people crowded
rhymes so bright leaves some folks blinded

and bring back rap to the way it used to be
