My personal favourites : http://www.sourceforge.net and http://www.cnet.com oh and http://www.freshmeat.com
Freshmeat and sourceforge are pretty much the same, with the same software (I think they work together) and cnet is pretty cool in trial software. Sourceforge is OPEN SOURCE ONLY and has more for Linux but a windows user can find his/her kicks there too. |

I just search in the all-powerful Google. Just put in, for example 'freeware image editor -trial -demo' and I usually get what I am looking for.

I like http://sourceforge.net/ , it has alot of freeware and many sites use it as mirrors. Also, if you are just browsing for freeware you can look in catagoreys to find what might be helpfull for you. Download.com is good too, but if your computer crashes...... well that just annoying.

I think that the best is always download.com, anyway I like very much Tucows and Zdnet, too.
