I am very very sure that millions would have heard of addthis.com, a bookmarking link that can be added to you rsite/blog. ha... i also see one in trap17.com and dont you think it really does some stuff else why trap17 has one?

I knew this for a long time and was so hesitant to add it in my blog http://www.varalu.blogspot.com.

BUt recently one of my friends suggested that it does yield some results and so i though... why don't i give a try? and i just did that...
I though i will just add one banner for my entire blog and that seemed to be little use and i want my individual posts to reach people... so i was looking for an option to add these banners to each and every post... (though i have seen these kind of implementation is many blogs... i was not sure how to go about doing it...)... But i was happy to see a help section in addthis.com and they had an option to do what i want...

Once i selected my blog host... (which is blogger in my case...) they were ready with their code snippet that i can use...

What do i have to do
Just copy the code snippet provided by addthis.com and add it in your blog. Is it so simple...? yes its simple. But few more thinsg to take care about. The code has to be added in your blog template...

HOw
1. Go to blogger
2. Go to your blog
3. Edit template
4. Make sure you expand the widgets
5. Search for the footer where you want the banner to appear and add it.... just after a few trail and error you will be happy with your work.

So... your content is ready to go places... smile.gif
Sit back and see the traffic coming..

Let me know if you need some help on this... i will be very much happy to provide some assistance if you want...

I still don't quite understand how this works. So its a site where I can bookmark my favorite sites? If thats so why can't I change the bookmarks under the addthis menu in trap17. Their website has no answers on it. It just have a very vague description on it that doesn't help at all. They need to do a better job at explaining what it actually does.

AddThis will give you a piece of code.

Put this code on your Web Page.

This will result in a BOX saying "Add This" to your bookmarks.

People can use this box and bookmark your website pages.

Trap17 uses Addthis. You can see the addthis box on the TOP RIGHT of this page saying "Bookmark"

Ok, I pretty much knew all of that already. How would someone bookmark your website with this? Clicking on bookmark just launches a popup with a bunch of other random websites...
