Hello.
I have bought a domain from Pknic.net.pk (official nic of pakistan). And am hosting this domain on godaddy.com... godaddy assigned dns like ns3.secureserver.net , ns4.secureserver.net... but is it possible to create the dns for my domain like , ns1.mydomain.pk and ns2.mydomain.pk etc. Who can make these dns ? the pknic, the company from where i register ? or the godaddy where im hosting? Regards Sami |

If Goddady.com webhosting offers such they are the one who could do it not NIC of Pakistan. It is the hosting company that can control your dns as well since you have already pointed to them. They will probably assign virtual dns to your domain. But I wonder why do you want to do that? There is nothing much for you to gain unless you are a hosting company and wanted to give a good impression to your customers that you are hosted on your own domain.

If you go to the settings on your domain name, you should be able to change the name servers to whatever you would like. So you would set them to the name servers that godaddy.com has provided. So if the nameservers for godaddy.com are ns1.godaddy.com and ns2.godaddy.com then that is what you point your domain to. That will make it so if you go to your website it will take you there. Your nameservers aren't going to be named after your site unless you yourself are a web host.
