Does anyone know of any application out there that lets you have widgets on the desktop on a mac, or making dashboard widgets stay on the desktop? I'm just curious, I would like to have a big clock and maybe a weather widget on the desktop all the time, not always on the top of course or a sidebar sort of thing, like google gadgets on a pc. Thanks

Doesn't Mac OS X already have something called Dashboard? There's a how-to here to keep widgets visible even when you're not in F12 mode: http://www.askdavetaylor.com/dashboard_wid..._x_desktop.html If that doesn't work out, I guess you could also try Yahoo Widgets engine (formerly Konfabulator)
